Carillon Concert Series #3

About 30 people braved the 97 degree temps to attend tonight's concert.  Everyone was busy trying to find the perfect spot that was both in the shade and had a good breeze.

 Sue Bergren from the Millennium Carillon in Naperville performed.

Sue informed me that she has her own practice carillon clavier in her house!  It came from St. Louis in 10 boxes and it took her husband about one year to put it back together.  Sue reports that she loves being able to practice in her own home, but that it will probably stay in the house if she ever moves.  



Mini Campaniles

The ISU Civil and Construction Engineering website is featuring a campanile building / masonry building project that took place in ConE 241 on April 17th.

From their page: Dozens of construction engineering students from CON E 241 build small brick structures, practicing masonry skills learned in their course. CON E 241 was taught by Senior Lecturer Brad Perkins course this spring.
